A SPECIAL REQUEST FOR HELP
( please click here to help )

ATTENTION AA FELLOWSHIP!

As of January 12, 2016, the Anchorage Area Intergroup (AAI) Events Coordinator position is vacant. The job description from Intergroupís Statement of Purpose is as follows:
  • Suggested two years of continuous and current sobriety
  • Act as a central point-of-contact for local AA-event scheduling to help prevent conflicts in scheduling local events
  • Keep ĎEventsí section of AAI website current through regular updates to Webmaster
  • Form and chair a standing Events Committee to plan and coordinate the annual Intergroup Summer Picnic and Intergroup Thanksgiving Feast
  • Keep records of what is bought and used for these events
  • Create and manage an annual budget which will include both events
  • Help to ensure that AA Guidelines and Traditions are being observed at both Intergroup events to the best of their ability
Please share this call to service at the meetings you attend, as well as at your home groupís business meeting. AAI always needs volunteers to man our office, but thereís more to Intergroup than just selling literature and medallions. Serving in this position is an excellent opportunity to be of maximum service.

If you, or another AA member, have an interest in this position, please plan to attend Intergroupís next business meeting which will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Anchorage Alano Club.
Thank you.

Debra B.
Anchorage Area Intergroup Chair
